About Lesson

Welcome to Building Your Battle Card

A well-crafted battle card is one of the most effective tools you can arm both your internal sales team and AWS field sellers with. It gives them the quick-hit information they need to understand what you do, how you’re different, and why customers should care—all in a one-pager.

In this module, you’ll learn how to build a strong AWS-aligned battle card that drives field engagement, accelerates co-sell conversations, and keeps your value prop top-of-mind across the ecosystem.

Why This Topic Matters

AWS sellers get exposed to hundreds of partners. The partners who stand out? The ones who make it easy to understand what they do, who they serve, and how to position their value to customers.

A battle card is a foundational GTM asset that:

  • Helps AWS reps sell with you

  • Enables internal alignment for your team

  • Increases your visibility and credibility in co-sell motions

  • Supports onboarding new partner-facing teams quickly

Cost Optimization

Issue: Small AWS deployment with little management oversight and a lack of cloud skills internal to the organization moving from traditional infrastructure to SaaS and cloud based solutions.

What we did

  1. AWS Audit
  2. Cost Optimization Review
  3. Ongoing Monitoring

Result:

  • Eliminated unused storage volumes and the old application server no longer in use, the charges for AWS resulted in a savings of 51% per month.
  • We’ll continue to monitor AWS billing and finance to ensure maintenance of savings and identify other future changes.
