About Lesson

Welcome to How to Build a Solution in APN

Building a solution in AWS Partner Central is a key milestone in your AWS ISV journey. This is where you define your product or service offering for AWS teams and customers—and where it officially becomes a recognized Partner Solution in the APN ecosystem.

In this module, you’ll learn how to build, register, and manage your solution in APN, aligning it with AWS best practices and making it easier for AWS sellers and customers to understand what you offer.

Why This Topic Matters

Creating a solution in Partner Central is required for unlocking visibility across AWS sales teams and for enabling co-sell, Marketplace integration, technical validations, and program eligibility. Your solution listing becomes the foundation for everything else—from AWS go-to-market support to technical alignment.

This step not only helps AWS understand your product, but also allows your business to become searchable, referenceable, and promotable across internal AWS platforms.

Cost Optimization

Issue: Small AWS deployment with little management oversight and a lack of cloud skills internal to the organization moving from traditional infrastructure to SaaS and cloud based solutions.

What we did

  1. AWS Audit
  2. Cost Optimization Review
  3. Ongoing Monitoring

Result:

  • Eliminated unused storage volumes and the old application server no longer in use, the charges for AWS resulted in a savings of 51% per month.
  • We’ll continue to monitor AWS billing and finance to ensure maintenance of savings and identify other future changes.
