About Lesson

Welcome to How to Create a Case Study in APN

One of the most powerful ways to accelerate your visibility and credibility in the AWS ecosystem is by publishing a customer case study. Case studies not only help you meet APN tiering requirements, but they also serve as public proof of the real-world impact your solutions deliver on AWS.

In this module, you’ll learn how to create and submit case studies through AWS Partner Central, helping position your organization for co-sell support, industry recognition, and Marketplace traction.

Why This Topic Matters

Case studies are required for advancing through AWS Partner Tiers and are often reviewed by AWS Partner Development Managers and field sellers when considering ISVs for co-selling, program inclusion, or customer referrals. These stories showcase your technical acumen, customer value, and industry fit—all essential in building long-term momentum in the AWS ecosystem.

Creating strong, publicly referenceable case studies also helps you get featured in AWS marketing, events, and outbound campaigns.

By the end of this module, you’ll know how to:

  • Understand AWS’s requirements for a valid, publicly referenceable case study

  • Navigate Partner Central to submit case studies for review

  • Write compelling content that meets AWS standards and resonates with both AWS and customers

  • Use case studies to improve your scorecard metrics and co-sell readiness

  • Two detailed How-To Guides in the exercise files with step-by-step submission instructions

Cost Optimization

Issue: Small AWS deployment with little management oversight and a lack of cloud skills internal to the organization moving from traditional infrastructure to SaaS and cloud based solutions.

What we did

  1. AWS Audit
  2. Cost Optimization Review
  3. Ongoing Monitoring

Result:

  • Eliminated unused storage volumes and the old application server no longer in use, the charges for AWS resulted in a savings of 51% per month.
  • We’ll continue to monitor AWS billing and finance to ensure maintenance of savings and identify other future changes.
