About Lesson

Welcome to What is the Partner Scorecard

As your journey in the AWS Partner Network progresses, keeping track of your standing is key. The Partner Scorecard is your central dashboard to monitor performance against APN tier requirements and track your company’s progress in real time.

In this module, we’ll introduce you to the Partner Scorecard—what it is, where to find it, what it tells you, and why it’s one of the most important tools for any AWS ISV looking to grow within the ecosystem.

Why This Topic Matters

AWS uses a tiered partner structure to recognize partners based on capability, performance, and alignment. The Partner Scorecard helps you see exactly where you stand and what actions are needed to meet (or maintain) the requirements for higher tiers.

Whether you’re working toward Select, Advanced, or beyond, the Scorecard helps you identify gaps, track your opportunities, and make strategic decisions to grow your AWS relationship. It also consolidates critical partner metrics—like co-sell activity and customer references—into one place for easy monitoring.

  • Understand the purpose and structure of the Partner Scorecard

  • Identify the key components: compliance tracking, progress tracking, opportunity metrics, and customer engagement

Cost Optimization

Issue: Small AWS deployment with little management oversight and a lack of cloud skills internal to the organization moving from traditional infrastructure to SaaS and cloud based solutions.

What we did

  1. AWS Audit
  2. Cost Optimization Review
  3. Ongoing Monitoring

Result:

  • Eliminated unused storage volumes and the old application server no longer in use, the charges for AWS resulted in a savings of 51% per month.
  • We’ll continue to monitor AWS billing and finance to ensure maintenance of savings and identify other future changes.
